Gordon Bean Magic
Some of you may be familiar with Magiclab, the company run by Larry Horowitz and me. Magiclab will still be selling past effects of mine such as Monte 3.0 and The New Limited Edition, but my new releases will be appearing only here. There are many new and exciting items in development, so be sure to register for my mailing list to receive release-date announcements.
Announcements
On April 15th, I'll be releasing my first items since
Entourage came out nearly two years
ago. These are Bikers and
Timecard, the former a packet effect
and the latter involving a full deck.
Bikers debuted with Entourage at the 9/24/05 Magic Castle swap
meet--and was considered by some to be the stronger effect--but
I held it back from general release, sensing there were some
twists and turns yet to appear before its wheels. My hunch
proved correct, extending all the way up to Seven Kings, a
version arriving so late it had to appear in a special insert.
Video demos for both Bikers and Seven Kings should be appearing
here soon.
The genesis of Timecard extends back
even further. Featuring an original method, this is a trick deck
unlike any other, and for the last year or so I've experienced
the happy frustration of hunting for its best possible
application. My main criteria were (1) an effect that spectators
could easily describe to friends, and (2) an effect that would
be requested specifically at a later occasion. After meeting
both conditions, I look forward to hearing about the
reaction--immediate and lingering--of spectators other than my
own.
